My approach to your wedding story

My clients are adventurous beings. They aren’t afraid to get their shoes dirty and they aren’t afraid to go against the unwritten rules of a wedding day. For my clients, wedding photography is one of the highest priorities on their day.

I’m a storyteller and adventurous one at that. I place an emphasis on real moments and emotion and love using the Newfoundland landscape as our backdrop. While planning your wedding, I have tons of information on getting the best images, my favorite locations, where to go if it rains, timeline tips, worksheets, vendor recommendations and more!

I approach every wedding with the goal of telling the story of your day. I accomplish this with a photojournalistic and documentary based style, focusing more on candid moments, rather than a series of staged and posed photos. And while I do pose my couples, I never want posing to detract from the day. I view myself as a guest at your wedding and I treat that with the utmost respect.

Zach Wheeler // Photographer

For me, wedding photography has always been about telling the whole story – honoring where people have come from and celebrating where they’re going. More than a wedding day, it’s the start of a marriage. It’s telling your story in my stylish way.

Even More Info!

I take anywhere from 3000-5000 images at a wedding and deliver around 900-1200 images for full-day coverage. My average turnaround time for the full wedding delivery is around four-six weeks (that’s like, really quick!). I usually try and post a couple of images to my Facebook and Instagram pages within a few days after the wedding, along with a ~50 image blog post. All prices are subject to HST (15%). A $500 retainer is required to book the date, in addition to a signed contract.

My editing style, as you can gather from the images here, is colorful, clear, and timeless. I don’t want my wedding images to look dated in 5-10 years because I picked a trendy edit at the time. I strongly believe the best way to gauge a photographer’s style is to check out their previous work; not just a series of best-of images, but a solid body of work from multiple weddings. You can check out tons of weddings (in addition to engagement/family/modeling/grad/etc sessions) here

And as you can probably tell from looking through the website, I love to post images of our clients on my Featured Work page, and Facebook & Instagram accounts. If you don’t want your images posted online, I do offer a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) for an additional fee or would be more than happy to suggest another photographer.
