Q: Where are you based?
A: St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: Payments for printed products can be made via credit card. For digital images, we only accept cheques and e-transfers.
Q: What print lab do you work with?
A: We use Lab Works based in Winnipeg. They manage all prints, canvas orders and shipments directly.
Q: What type of equipment do you use?
A: We use Canon professional series camera bodies, lenses and flashes. Most landscape photos are shot on a tripod, with a shutter release remote and mirror lockup activated to ensure the sharpest image possible.
Q: When will I receive my images?
A: You will receive an email confirming your order within 24 hours. For digital files, you should receive your image(s) within 48 hours. For prints and canvas, please allow 10 days for processing and an additional 2 weeks for delivery.
Q: What is the aspect ratio of your images?
A: Most photos are full resolution (approx. 5500px on the long end) in JPEG format and most are in the standard digital format of a 2×3 ratio, unless otherwise stated. You can inquire anytime prior to ordering.
If you have a specific size frame in mind, or non standard sizes (i.e. a panorama, 16×20, etc.), we will work with you to ensure that the aspect ratio is correct and the file is optimized for that print size. Furthermore, for those located in St. John’s, Newfoundland Canvas offers custom framing to ensure your image, mat and frame choice all match your home’s walls and decor.
Q: Do you shoot in RAW? Do you shoot black and white?
A: We only shoot RAW to ensure you get the best quality images. We process selective images in black and white (hey, sometimes they just look better in black and white). If you see a color landscape that you’d like in black and white (or vice versa), contact us and we’ll process it differently.
